Our commitment
ForgeWorth is committed to making theforgeworth.com accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
We believe that every visitor — regardless of disability, device, or circumstance — should be able to find out what ForgeWorth does, take the free asset audit, and get in touch.
What we're doing
We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility on this site:
- All images include descriptive
alttext, oralt=""for decorative images - Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum (4.5:1 for body text)
- Font sizes are specified in relative units (rem/em) so they scale with browser text-size settings
- All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and have visible focus indicators
- Form fields have associated labels and descriptive error messages
- Page language is declared (
lang="en") on all pages - Heading levels follow a logical hierarchy on all pages
- The scorecard and audit tools use
aria-liveregions to announce dynamic content changes - Navigation landmarks (
<nav>,<main>,<footer>) are used throughout - Videos and animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query
Known limitations
Current known issues (under review)
- Scorecard tool: Some question transitions may not be announced sufficiently to screen reader users. We are reviewing the
aria-liveimplementation. Workaround: use Tab to navigate between questions. - Blog article images: Cover images are hotlinked from Pexels and include descriptive alt text; however, fallback SVG images do not yet include
role="img"andaria-labelattributes. - PDF documents: Some downloadable documents (e.g., proposal templates) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Contact us for an accessible alternative.
We aim to address these issues in our next accessibility review, due June 2027.
